Well, four doors seem like a good way to learn basics and not really lose anything if a problem arises. I think I could learn a lot from this by swapping in a used muncie stone crusher, or something of that nature (possibly a saginaw, because price). Anywho, it is a seemingly very solid car, and I bet that I cannot go wrong for the price... *project valiant effort?

If it is not a rot box and runs/drives then BUY IT! That is a great price for a solid classic.
It'll never be super cool, but as a simple cruiser(or possible sleeper down the line) it would be great. Hell, I'm tempted.

Slant 6! They're great to learn on and they don't die. Tons of space under the hood for turbos and v8s. They also very decent millage. Go for it. That's a great price.

Also, the various falcons you posted will need time & money before you can drive them at all, and their drivetrains aren't great for modern highway driving.
The Jeep you posted hasn't run in years and will need attention before it can be driven.
This appears to be something you can get in and drive home, then start enjoying right away.

Thanks, was going to see it tomorrow. My father was hard to reach, as I wanted him to take my truck for the summer while I use this to wrench on. Sadly, it must have been just sold.
